I need help flashing the Bios to a KK266. I found the correct Bios on the website but the directions are as clear as mud. I'm a newbie to this I have flashed a Bios before to a Intel MB and it was swell. Once I download the bios from the site they say to get into "pure DOS mode" so I restarted the computer and I have C:\windows> and I have tried everything to get just a C:\ so I can type the rest of the instructions and I can't find out how to do it.

Also step 3 of the read me fils says to "build a new tempoary subdirectory, then copy the file there

I'm sorry if this is not real clear but I need HELP. I want to put my XP1600 on this board so the T/bird 1200C can go somewhere else.

Running Win98 if that maters or helps.

make a dir in ur c: drive such as C:kk1022 then exract the bios into the dir ..Then reboot into a dos mode with a w98 boot disk. At the A: type in C: <hit enter> shold change to C: at c: type in cd kk1022<hit enter> should be at C:\kk1022<type in AWDFLASH.EXE KK1022.BIN /CC /CD /CP

I edited this bios name from the KKraid bios.

To get into C:reboot into a dos mode with a w98 boot disk. At the A: type in C: <hit enter> shold change to C: {this is the answer to your original question}
