i have pavilion #6535 with 466 celeron...128 pc 100 ram...voodoo 5 pci ... 8gig hardrive ultra dma. i m looking to upgrade mobo and cpu 900 t- bird ....asus a7v.....iwill266....abit kt7t-raid.... will there be compatability problems with these mobo s ....i would like to transfer as much hardware from my old puter as i can......on budget.. tkxs for any help...BROGS
 
With most 'brand name' systems, the cases, mobo, pwr supply, etc are proprietary. Which means that other mobos won't work with the case, pwr supply etc. However, I recently came across some info that might help you identify you hardware and give you somewhere to look. On this page at directron.com's site I found the following:
