I just purchased 2 (512mb) sticks of CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 32MX8 PC-3200C2 w/ plat. heat spreader, with a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP; and a P4 2.8 800mhz. I am very fluent with computers however i have never dealt with overclocking. I've heard many people talk about memory timings, and that they help give you a better bang for your buck.

Should i attempt to change my memory timings (i don't think it would be that hard to do), and is it worth the risk of possible overheating and such. Right now i plan on just using stock processor fan and the power supply.

Also, any suggestions on what timings i should use if it ends up that I change the timings on the memory.

Read the sticky above on timings. Your memory will not overheat from changing the timings. The worst that would happen is you would need to reset the cmos becuase the timings were too aggressive.
