Moving towards getting a new C2D system, I was using as one source of info a web site that recommended 2GB Corsair PC6400 DDR2 memory.
I saw a mail-in rebate that seemed a good deal and grabbed it (Corsair CM2X1024-6400), $300 less $40 MIR.
Now, I'm wanting to ask if this was a good idea - there's a bit of time it can be returned, and I've been seeing various threads that raise some questions on what memory to get.
So, basic question, is this a safe bet for being the right choice of RAM and value, or is it not so good and I should consider returning it and getting something else.
I know it's a bit hard without the specific system info, but likely to be an E6400 or E6600.
