Fry's had a good sale on 4GB Crucial memory (6400 CL6) for like $20 AMIR.

My impression reading here is CL6 is slow. Should I just return it?

Well I run my Kingston DDR2-667 at 5-5-5-15 (CL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS), which is up from 4-4-4-12 @ 533mhz, and I haven't noticed it feeling any slower. So I can't imagine CL6 would feel any slower, really, except for in benchmarks.

Memory speed only really impacts how much you can overclock and memory timings have almost no impact at all.

CAS6 memory is perfectly fine, glad you got such a good deal on it!
