Just a quick question re: a new Mobo. I'm wondering how one can know if the MB can be properly seated into a given case without size issues? If it's too big, I mean, that's a big issue right?

I have a older Antec SLK2650-BQE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129148) that has dimensions: 16.5" x 8.3" x 16.5" (D x W x H) and is apparently ATX-compatible.

A new Mobo I want to put in is the Asus M4A785TD-V EVO (http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...25351(ME).aspx) which has dimensions: ATX Form Factor
12 inch x 9.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 24.5 cm )
.

It looks like the Mobo is too big for the case? How do people normally buy new Mobos for use within their old case? This would be too risky right, if I'm reading this right?

I believe if it says ATX-compatible, it'll fit ATX. Meaning the mobo will fit and the holes will line up properly.
The only thing you have to be careful with is giant video cards or giant CPU coolers.

Found this pick of that case online. ....Looks like it will be fine.

Hey twinrider, thanks for the reply! Yes, that is my case. I mean, Mobos can't be too big nowadays right? And yeah, my GTX 260 is gi-normous. I had to remove the HDD cage to fit that sucker in there.

So yeah, I guess it should fit if you think so from your cursory look at it. Thanks. Anyone else want to offer an opinion?
