I have installed a P4 2.4 A processor into an MSI Neo2-V motherboard. I installed DDR 400 Ram, but it is only running at 333mhz - is this because the 2.4A processor only supports a 533 FSB - are memory and FSB speed related?? am I completely off and confused--I am new to building so please be gentle. Is it a mistake to install a processor that onlyu supports 533 fsb into a motherbaord that supports 800fsb--it will just dumb itslef down to that speed, yes?

The 2.4a "prescott" with 1 meg cache runs at 533 (133 fsb), but some will run at 180-200 with a slight boost in voltage. I run my 2.8c at 3.5 using 1.56 volts. You need a newer board for your prescott anyway. Most older boards won't work.
