I have a Radeon X300.. I have an s-video jack on my graphics card.. I have the output (the blue one) that connects my monitor.. and then there is one that looks exactly like it but its white? What is that?

Then my next question is.. I want to be able to watch TV with that output. on my TV I have a VGA input. How would I do this?

The white one is probably DVI if it looks similar, but the holes are different. To hook it up to a tv with VGA, just connect the cable, set the TV to the "video" mode you normally use for DVD players or consoles, and configure your output in the ATI graphics panel on your PC to TV out (or whatever its called). There are soem tutorials online as well, just use Google.

ok since it's DVI (and i'm 95% sure it is).. do I need a DVI to VGA converter? I see a whole bunch of them and I'm not sure which one I should buy.

IF your TV accepts VGA, you don't need a converter. If your TV accepts only DVI, you do not.

are you trying to tell me that I can plug a VGA cable into the VGA port on my TV FROM the DVI port on my graphics card? Because I only have the DVI port open on my graphics card. Thats why I need to use DVI. So I need to basically use a DVI-to-VGA converter to watch the computer on my TV.. correct?

Yes. If you don't have one already, they are pretty cheap. I think I have 1 or 2 lying around here if you need one.

DVI-A ( http://www.cablestogo.com/resources/dvi.asp ), which is the only type I have (came with graphics cards or monitors).
