newbie fan question

also, there are little metal sheet or racks above the processor , and below the fan, i think they are attached to the processor. There is dust on these sheets of metal, howmwould i go about cleaning them? THANKS
 
get some canned air from like best buy or compusa. blow that right in there and it'll blow that dust right out. they don't cost that much, maybe 7 bux at the most.
 
If you can hold a vaccum cleaner or a dust buster close while you do it that would be a good idea. Otherwise the dust just moves around in your case.
 
do this, go get a garden hose. hook it up outside, bring your pc case with everything in it outside, and hose it down with water. that should clean it all out! i wouldn't recommend turning it on after that though.
