Someone made an offer on my first ebay listing... my listing doesn't have a 'buy it now' option. Can he just bid on my item and then i close that item or is there some other way to do it? I think i can get an agreement on the price in private.

my prediction:
You'll be offered msrp + shipping
You'll ship
You'll not get paid

Not meaning to be a smart-___ -- just be super aware of scams. And I'm betting that anyone offering any action out of the norm is scamming you.

Well i told him that he'd have to bid on the item... is there a way for him to bid on the item and then have me close the auction so nobody else can bid?

Well, i'm asking for some markup. Plus i'm asking him to pay first as well as bid on my auction. I looked through his history and he has positive feedback (35 feedback, not a lot, but he's 100% and he didn't bid on ebooks or anything).
