Newbie: Cooling and Linux Monitoring Utils

I am a newbie and I just put together my first system. I have an abit kt7a with a anthlon t-bird 1.2ghz in an Enlight 7237 case. I am planning on running redhat 7.1 on it. I put it together and everything seems to be running smoothly. Now I want to try and overclock it. I was just wondering what temperature monitoring utilities are out there for linux. I know that abit makes a utility for windows. Is there a linux version of this software?

Also wondering what people have done with the Enlight 7237 for cooling. What is good clock speed to set a 1.2ghz t-bird at?

Well, if anyone has experience with any of this I would appreciate it if you helped this newbie out.

Cheers
