Newbie build

I'm thinking about building my first system.;
Asus k8v se deluxe
amd athlon 64 3200 1mb cache
WD 160 gig drive
1gig ram

Is this a good board for a new builder? I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing and I can enlist some help if I need it. Any reccommendations?

Well its a OK board but this is what I would do...

If not overclocking...

Albatron K8X800 ProIIAlbatron K8X800 ProII $108

I have this board and it has a Hardware soundcard, firewire, etc... and is stable and fast.

If overclocking...
The get a board based off the nForce3 250 chipset

Chaintech $92 Good cheap board. Basic but has the goods.

MSI $127 This one has more features and a giga ethernet and hardware firewall.


Also for CPU get a 3000+, as it run at the same speed as the 3200+ just with half the cache
