Hello,

I am new to the Creative cards and overclocking them. My old card was a Voodoo Banshee. Could anyone help me out please? Thank you for your help in advance.

1. What is the best drivers (Nvidia or creative) to use under 98SE and WinMe? Not sure which OS I am going to install)

2. What overclocking software should I use to overclock the GTS?

3. Is there a compatible TV card that I can add to the GTS?

4. Which PCI slot works best for a TV card? (I have the sound card in slot2 and my NIC in slot5)

Load regedit, locate the Nvidia Corporation key under LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE, and if there is not already an "NVTweak" sub-key then add it. Within that key, create a new DWORD called "CoolBits" and set its value to 3.

This will enable an overclocking tab within the Detonator drivers Display Properties applet. You can now use this to o/c your card.

If you are not comfortable with editing your registry, try a little utility called Powerstrip, can't state the link but you shouldn't have any trouble finding it.

I am not sure but I think Creative themselves may do an o/c util, you'll have to look for it at www.soundblaster.com.

Hope this helps.

Do the CoolBits registry edit. Then go to the video card setting a click on hardware options. and then click on the check box and reboot then after that go back to the settings and overclock.

OverClock the memory. DOnt bother with the COre Clock it wil do nothing for you.

Don't over do it.

Powerstrip is fancy program with a bunch of options. If you are into that get that program.
