Newbie 101...the differences in ram?

hey i keep reading about cas2 and cas3, rev2 and rev3. What are the differences in each? I think that i am on the right track when i say that they are the cycle speed in which they run? Is there such thing as cl2? What would that be?

CL = CAS Latency, CL and CAS refer to the same thing.

Rev2 vs Rev3 are Mushkin part names, they have nothing to do with RAM in General.

CAS2 is a bit faster than CAS3. There is at least one thread per week on CAS2 vs CAS3, do a search and you should find tons of discussion on the subject.
