My sisters cable modem ( moto surfboard)only seems to work via usb not the ethernet port. She wants to add a wireless router but I cant seem to locate one that has a USB input. Do you know where I can find one ? Do they make them?
At one time both the USB and ethernet outs of this modem did function (now only the usb output works)

In the USA I do not thing that they are sold, there are some Brands selling them in Europe.

A company name Draytek use to sell them in Europe. I do not think that they offer them in the USA.

Why?

Because they are priced so that buying a regular, Wireless Router for $40 and your own Ethernet cable modem for similar price cost $80.

Therefore, for about $80 you get a very good system, rather then buying a mediocre device that cost the same and adding it to a partially functional Cable Modem.
