GTX460 runs 2 monitors. You'll need a second one (your mobo won't allow it) or you'll need to get a new card that allows triple monitor.

A quick look on Newegg and the Galaxy GTX 660 is the least expensive model that supports nVidia Surround.

HERE is a guide about it.

For 2D surround you can use any connectors and the monitors don't need to be identical.

In 3D surround the monitors do need to be identical. Also you need to use the 2x dual link DVI +HDMI with an HDMI to dual link DVI adaptor. Ben Q makes monitors that don't require an adaptor. You can go direct HDMI to HDMI. I'm not sure when the article was done. There might now be other monitors.

This doesn't sound like you read the newer posts.

I have a GTX670 FTW as said, and ASUS VE248Hx2 (trying to sell other things such as my Acer to get another ASUS).

OK. So what's your question?

bump again.

Still no reply from anyone. A friggin' nightmare trying to get responses from places I would have expected help from (WSGF, Geforce forums, etc).

The FTW has 1 HDMI, 2 DVI, 1 DP. I am not using a DP. I assume I will need an HDMI > HDMI cable for the 3rd LCD?

adding in that I just connect the first two ASUS to the two 670's DVI ports, then use the HDMI cable to connect the 3rd if I ever get it...?

If you click the link in my other post that says, "HERE is a guide about it", it answers your questions.

If you read my earlier posts I have already said I know about that guide, but it is confusing. Many times they refer to 3D but I don't give a damn about 3D.

In 3D Vision Surround, each monitor must be an identical make and model, and you must use three matching digital connectors. We will go into detail below, but you may need additional adapters for this.

The GeForce GTX 680 sports two DVI connectors, one HDMI connector, and one DisplayPort connector.

same as the 670 ftw

In 3D Vision Surround, any monitor connected to the DisplayPort output must use a DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter so that all three monitors are using Dual-Link DVI. Adapters are available from the NVIDIA Store, Club 3D, and other e-tailers. In future drivers, owners of BenQ’s XL2420T and XL2420TX 3D Vision monitors will be able to use the two DVI connectors and the DisplayPort connector without needing the DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter, as the BenQ monitors feature built-in DisplayPort 3D Vision technology.

HDMI and DVI adapters are widely available, if required.

Nothing is said in the article about a simple Surround 3 monitor setup. I assume you use as I said, two dvi, one hdmi cable with no adapters.

In 2D Surround, any combination of monitors that share common timings is perfectly acceptable, though each must have, at minimum, one DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort connector. Aesthetically, identical monitors are preferable, but not a requirement.

Yes, 2xDVI +1xHDMI with no adapters is fine.
