Hi, I'm a first time laptop pc buyer and currently looking at the specs I need to replace my desktop.
What exactly are the differences between a DVD/RW and a DVD/CD combo drive? I use DVD Clone to make backups of my DVD's to my desktop's HD, but don't make DVD copies or recordings whatsoever. Can I still do this with a combo drive, or will I need a DVD/RW? I'll only use the laptop for web and email, and it seems a lot of the budget laptops I want only come with the DVD/CD combo drive. Thanks for any help. I'm always amazed how much you guys know about pc hardware.
