BTW you guys are probably thinking I'm beating a dead horse out of a non issue.. but NY has swung for Reagan before..

This issue is seriously pissing dems off and that's 27 electoral votes come Nov 2024.

Going to go out on a limb here and state that elections from 30-40 years ago probably bear no relevance to next year's presidential election.

What he's saying is similar to arguing that Kansas is going to vote for Biden due to abortion. Actually sorry, what he's saying is more extreme than that because Trump only won Kansas by 15 points while Biden won New York by 23 points.

Like I said for some weird reason liberals enjoy writing fan fiction where liberals lose because they enjoy panic. If you told a Republican Kansas were going blue due to abortion they would laugh in your face yet Indus here is imaging fantasy scenarios where New York goes red based on Republicans shipping migrants to the most immigrant heavy city in the country. It's just weird.

Taking bets no.

But alarmed that people I talk to are openly talking about the final solution to the migrant question and not even hiding it like the nazis did!

Didn't we vote for Pataki 3 times in a row?

Ok he wasn't Trump extreme but that kind of candidate really latches on here.

Don't kid yourself.. Sorta like MD has a GOP governor..

If you think Maryland is going red in 2024 you are not just living in a fantasy world, but a fantasy world on the moon.

Kansas has a Democratic governor today. I would give you 100-1 odds that it goes red in 2024.

Indus has become what he fears. He fears that the political advantage Republicans create by ginning up the immigrant issue will overwhelm elected Democrats and what does he do but turn against immigration out of fear of that.

Between him and Stephanic, New York might be a lost cause.

Stephanic is an upstater so not gonna win that one.

But losing Long Island and Hudson Valley to the GOP is not normal.

Sure AOC will survive.. her district is +50 point dem.

But a lot of other districts are only +15 and it only takes 7-10 % thinking migrants are a problem to flip em.

You're kinda missing the big picture here. Which is that the GOP is feeding false narratives to the public about crime and immigration in order to distract people from the fact that they're going to renominate the same guy who tried to suspend the Constitution and make himself a dictator just a couple years ago.
Now I don't know about you, but I'm more than willing to tolerate a nominal amount of crime and immigration (which the GOP has no actual solutions for anyway besides vague BS tough guy narratives) than lose freedom and democracy to racists and religious zealots.

I get all that but the reality is a bit different:

You would think since NYC is the most immigrant heavy city in the country, they'd want to vote against the very fascists stealing democracy, very similar to where they've escaped from and be more pro asylum and migration!

But for some reason they ignore all that, and vote for the MAGA fascists again thinking oh they'll just hurt the other guys but not them!

Their minds have an amazing capacity for self-deception!

Aspirin 81mg, Amlodipine 10mg.. if you must know.

And the problem isn't me.. it's people all around me. I want to ask them.. what drugs are they on.. and are now okay with a state of moral inversion!

Don't blame me, I'm just the messenger!

You might have a point thought.. a lot of people I talk to might just be talking a lot but not actually voting here in the City. But in the suburbs of Hudson Valley and Long Island.. they're making a difference.

I get the sense that you're around a bunch of very, very right wing people that are not remotely representative of the actual population of NYC.

Again, Biden won NYC by OVER FIFTY POINTS. If the people around you are all talking about voting for Republicans they are extreme outliers.

Someone post the NYC election results. I'm too lazy. But outside of Staten, it's a fucking runaway.

Quite possible.

You know we were always scratching our heads over who the hell do we know who pretends to be liberal but silently voted for Trump!

Lots of people who don't say anything but privately go have drinks with the nazis!

The 2024 Anti Migrant Wave might end up being a Tsunami!

Honestly NY, NJ, CT, IL, MN might all be at risk due to NIMBYism.
So to be clear you think Kansas is a lock to go blue due to abortion? After all it’s a lot closer to a swing state than NY or CT are. Seriously - do you really believe this stuff? It’s totally deranged.

Also Adams has always sounded like this - weird crime rants despite very low crime, etc.

Ofcourse there's a difference..

The difference being abortion may affect the female population once a year.. migrants affect people as soon as they leave their apartment.

And once that takes hold.. it really takes hold.

Sadly some issues are just not equal as demonstrated by so many women voting against themselves.

P.S. I don't agree with Adams one bit.. I think he's a GOP implant and was a former Republican.. but he's doing a damn good job of convincing leftys that you need bullets and gas chambers to dispatch migrants in not so vivid words.

If we go down that path.. where do we stop.. we're all migrants at one point or another.. but it may just be an issue that breaks the camels back and comes back to haunt dems in 2024.

Personally think.. stop em at the border, and only women and female children allowed.

If you think immigration is an issue that will hurt democrats that’s perfectly reasonable but the idea that Democrats are going to lose New York in 2024 is crazy talk.

Again, abortion is absolutely killing Republicans nationwide but they are still winning Kansas and it won’t be close.

Maybe I didn't phrase my concerns properly so you thought they were outlandish.

In simple terms:

If 1 or 2 states goes trump's way.. the country has a MAGA president we both know this.

We already know the senate map is hard next year.

But the worrying thing is we have the GOP making inroads here enough to get some districts and those would hand them a trifecta.

That is what worries me more than the whole state flipping.

Might sound crazy but Mitch wanted to keep the filibuster.. the MAGA crowd might not care about later and just want its cake now!
