I didnt walk. I was stuck on a bus for 2 hours. I would have gotten to work alot faster if I did walk.

I got lucky, the F was running. Although it took my twice as long to get from Brooklyn to Union Square in a packed car without AC.

Everyone in my office came in late. Some people that live in the bronx are still not in.

Luckily for me, my commute wasn't too bad. Road was really flooded and bus line was just too crowded, so i took a cab to the subway and the train was fine.

yeh, it was crazy

Had to get a car service, share with 4 others (it was a SUV) and it took nearly 2 hours from Prospect Park to 44th & 6th (Times Sq area)

Spent nearly 20 mins stuck in the Battery Park tunnel, ugh

most of the office staff are still trickling in

the thunder was crazy tho - set off car alarms n sh!t, keep waking up

I got lucky - PATH to WTC is/was running with 15-30mins delay, but I caught it just right. WTC is a huge swimming pool though... and 4/5/6 and ACE wasn't running when I got in the office.

That crap woke me up at like 3-4am though...massive downpour and thunder. Oh and it's fucking nasty hot and humid out.

Took me like 3 hours to come in from the Bx. All the express buses were standing room only and all the roads were backed up. It was a nightmare to commute today.

Took me about 1.25 hour to get from Columbus Circle to Grand Central starting at 8:20. Everybody was saying the 1 was shut down but somehow I got lucky and one came. Then we got stuck several times. The 7 sucked too.

It took 3+ hours for some people.

What a mess. You'd think they would have better preparation for stuff like this.

I can walk it from Brooklyn to the city, but not in office clothes/shoes

I walk 10 minutes to my office. Didn't even know how bad transportation was this morning until people started showing up late and complaining about their nightmare commute.

if you lived in brooklyn, you'd have noticed the tornado-like winds that ripped up trees which in turn crushed cars and tore into houses

all the trees on my block have been damaged

Took a carpool to work from Brooklyn. It took me 3 hours to get into the city. Our area was one of the hardest hit by the storm. Two trees toppled on my block alone. Two more trees toppled in the next block over. I counted more than 7 uprooted trees within a few blocks of each other. I saw a few cars crushed by trees and a downed cable lines. I really shouldn't have come to work today.

i remember waking up at night and just heard the storm outside, and the only thing that really worried me was that i didnt have an umbrella for the morning.
