New york strip steak

I have not yet run into anything as good as New york strip steaks.. I can get them for cheap - 2 for 8-10 dollars, and they are so tender when I cook them. I haven't found another cut that's better.

What's your favorite cheapest cut?

Ribeyes are more expensive, whereas for the same price of 1 I could get like 3 new york strip steaks. I should pick a ribeye up and see what I can do with it.

I got some cheap ribeye today. Delicious

Nice.. damn that is a really good price from what I've seen. Usually one of those damn things costs like 15 bucks

I only eat Strip steaks. It is the only cut that has the correct texture for my liking. Filet and rib eye are too mushy for me and sirloin is just too... blech.

NY Strip.... Medium Rare. Just salt and pepper, no sauces. Occasionally, I will rub it down with slices of garlic, but that is about it.

Me too. NY strip is flavorful, tender, and lean. Just perfect. I like mine well though. Rub salt and fresh cracked pepper in and then toss it on the BBQ.

Working in a restaurant I've learned to oil, salt, and pepper every steak and almost everything else you can cook on a grill or in a pan that has to do with meat.. only thing I don't put oil, salt, and pepper on is hamburger patties.

Sweet.. I need to shop around more though, I'm in Phoenix, AZ. I usually just buy from Fry's food and drug stores cause they're abundant in the area and they are fairly cheap.

a nice ribeye is usually what I cook, but sometimes it's nice to switch things up and get a NY Strip. It's got a different texture that I yearn for sometimes. But a nicely charred MR Ribeye just can't be beat.
