New York Public Library just started offering free audiobook downloads

This part strikes me as odd:

Digital audio books are available for free to members through the library's Web site. Users can borrow up to 10 digital books at a time, and after 21 days the materials will be automatically checked in and made available to others.

I guess you're on the honor system to destroy your copy of it when it's checked back in. 🙂

You can burn them on CDs, so they can't stop your CD copy from playing.
