The 1st decade of the new millenium is over.

For 2010:
1) Find happiness -> Unfortunately I have no idea how to come about this. :(
Having a 'Devil may care' attitude and letting happiness find me hasnt worked out in recent years.

2) I will apply for a poker dealer job when the newly allowed gambling laws of Charles Town, WV effectively kicks in mid-2010. I will quit my 6figure job if i get that position.

3) Get 6-pack abs. My body fat is under 10%. How much lower do i need to get those abs muscles to show?

4) Tour Belgium/Scandinavian countries

What's your New Years Resolutions for the start of the 2nd decade?

.

I'm gonna be a bitch here.

Sheep have resolutions. I make changes whenever I feel like it.

1) Stop drinking so much. I don't get drunk too much but it effects my workouts and weight loss :(

2) Get down to 200 lbs, sitting at ~220 would be lower but been out of the gym for over a week due to a stupid appendix trying to kill me.

3) Have more fun, starting my first 'real' job in February so maybe I'll have money to enjoy myself.

4) Get into a real relationship, one night stands are ok and all but... I think it's time to grow up?

But I agree with bob, these would be my goals at this point regardless of the new year.

Find a girl who doesn't annoy me after 5 minutes.

I'm thinking about going off sugar for a year. Just to see if I could do it.

TECHNICALLY... since the calendar started on year 1 (there was no year zero) .. the decade runs from 01-10... the next decade doesn't start till 11.

Didn't we go thru this with y2k?

the new millenium didn't officially start till 2001

I'm thinking about going off sugar for a year. Just to see if I could do it.

This is harder than it seems. Very good idea. Just remember that all bread is loaded with sugar. You should only eat the verified whole wheat stuff, and you can pretty much never have pasta again.

Start by eliminating soda and beer. Drink unsweet tea, water, and you can try some diet sodas, but they all pretty much suck (exceptions - diet Dr. Pepper and cherry, Diet Minute maid OrangeAid, diet mt. dew, and coke zero are almost good! Just don't expect it to taste like soda. )

Your sugar crashes leave, your cholesterol goes down, your heart rate drops and your body starts to recover from insulin shock.

I need to start dating again now that I've lost weight (220 pounds down, ~15 pounds away from my goal)... I haven't been on a date-date since like before I got fat.

other new year's resolution is to either join a gym or buy (and use) some exercise equipment beyond just free weights... that goes hand in hand with moving, though. I want to move into a bigger place in the spring so I have room for exercise equipment in my apartment.

If you wait until the start of a new year to do it, then obviously it wasnt very darn important to you anyway.
Your chance of success is less than that of Paris Hilton joining a convent.

I am not 12 years old. I don't make resolutions. I just do things.
