New Yahoo Mail Beta

Very clean looking, fast. Can view messages either in a preview pane below the message list, or double click to see it in a separate message tab - not a browser tab, but a tab in the email page. Sort messages by clicking column heading, etc. Drag -n- drop to folders.

I'm impressed.

Yeah it's ok but still appers to be flakey and slow at times for me. I still prefer gmail over yahoo.

oh and the spam filter kinda sucks.

I get almost no spam on this yahoo account somehow, so can't comment on that. And I've only been playing with it for a bit - it's been solid and fast so far. We'll see.

I wonder if they've fixed the high memory usage yet?

A while back I tried the Beta. At work, I keep my Yahoo Email logged in, and keep the browser app still opened. After a few hours, I've noticed memory usage for just that one browser instance sometimes exceed 80mb-100mb. Thats pretty ridiculous!

Meh. I still like gmail. It looks a lot like the new hotmail also.

I switched over to the beta the day it went live. It has been great so far.

I like g-mail. With the g-mail notifier, I see when I have messages, and I can check them then. I just want something quick and clean, and its perfect for that
