new yact: which brand for Distributor Cap and rotor?

... just for a regular toyota 4-banger... I am planning to change the sparks anyway for maintenance sake (well, and to pass smog too). but do I have to shell out more dollars for the spark wires and distributor cap and rotor? The last time I changed all of them was 3years and 50,000 miles ago.

I am going for the Bosch +2 (or should I go with +4?) and Bosch wires from Autozone. Now Autozone sells Wells' Rotor and Distributor Cap, while Kragen carries Niehoff, Beck Arnley, and GP Sorensen. which one should I go for, or it doesn't matter

I change my plugs every 10-15k because they are like $8 for all 4, and it takes 10 minutes.
I change my wires every 60,000 kms (just about due for a new set) and have yet to change my coilpack, and won't until I need to. (different than distributor though)

For plugs don't use the Bosch 4+ only 2+. The 4+ blocks to much of the spark in some engines.

For wires either the Bosch or Ultra spark at Autozone are good. Just don;t get the cheaper ones they sale, they are junk.

For cap and rotor it does not matter much. The only 2 things to look for is what is the contact material. Brass or alum. Brass will hold up better and carry voltage better, but also cost more. Ask if they have a heavy duty cap+rotor kit and see if it cost to much or not. If not go for it.

Forgot to add.

Plug wires and cap+rotor are good from 60-100K
Plugs are usually changed around 30K, 50-60K if using a double Plat. plug.

I would recommend using Denso plugs - these are the OEM for your car and will provide you with the best overall performance/reliability. They are cheap and can be picked up from either a dealer or any other chain parts store. I would also recommend OEM plugs/distributor cap. Its something you replace every 5-6 years and worth the money to spend for a quality part.

Cheers.

according to their websites, denso's are not available from either Kragen and Autozone. (oh wait, there is Denso in Autozone, but what the heck) Kragen also carries NGK. but since Autozone is a bit closer to me plus it sells Bosch plugs AND Bosch wires, I might as well all do a one-stop-shop at the same store.

I think autozone does sale Denso's. They are not on the site but I know they did (or use to) carry the denso plugs in all 3 flavors (standard copper, Plat, and iriduim(sp))
