Folks;
I'm at wit's end trying to figure this one out. I just went from an X850XT to a 1900XT, both on Cat 6.3's ... for some reason the 1900 refuses to switch to non-standard (i.e. anything other than 6x4, 8x6, 10x7, 12x10, 16x12 & 19x12) resolution ... on desktop, or during gaming. If I set, say 1920x1080 or 1280x768 (both supported by the driver), it just goes directly to the nearest standard resolution ... 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 respectively! Of course, this was never a problem w/ the X850XT.
I did deinstall the Cats before switching cards. Did the full DriverCleaner in safe mode deal. Switched cards and reinstalled the Cats (simple, no CCC ... using TrayTools). I've also tried Cats 6.2 and 6.4, no luck. Anybody seen this? Its driving me nuts!
cheers.
PS: Another thing I've noticed is that some resolutions like 1680x1050 are no longer showing up as being available ... this too is very strange. Any ideas?
