stunning design, very beautiful. Im very impressed and hope this becomes reality. However I dont fully understand this:

I have been repeatedly asked "Are you going to build another structure that becomes a target to terrorists ?" My answer is this "Our New Cyber City Design Concept for The New World Trade Center 2002 will be impervious to attack" for an example: 1: Our Cyber City will have a State of the Art External Security System which at this stage evolves around "Sound Waves" which has the capacity at a specific frequency to repel flying objects up to a five mile circumference. We will seek support from the political system to bring about an edict that a "Five Mile No Fly Zone" area is put into effect around the island of Manhattan. 2: Our Cyber City will embrace multiple internal security systems to detect and thwart any potential detonation issue both at ground level and lower ground levels. Multiple individual recognition technological systems will be applicable to commercial occupants, residents and visitors alike. Inclusive of commercial delivery personnel at multiple checkpoints before gaining entry to our Cyber City. Examples of such technology will be Iris and Fingerprint security plus three dimensional full body scanning.

Huh?

looks cool...

i like this idea

Within the Biosphere there will be 2833 living trees planted. Each living tree will be named and a plaque set at its base as a living memorial to those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

That's odd. Laguardia has to be about 5 miles away from Manhattan or less.

Close it? I hate that airport anyway.

I find it rather scary. It looks like those structures you see in RPGs that double as weapons when you least expect it. Reading thru the details, it sounds more like a safehouse for the wealthy and a tourist attraction than a real tribute or functional business center. Plus I think they're taking the technology bit a tad too far. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft considered moving in.

Nice but I'm willing to bet they'll just go with a few 50 story towers.
It does look pretty cool though.

The only thing that I would hate to see is if a disease were to infect the trees and kill them all. That would be a sad sight...

Huh?

Either that's total BS, or there's been developments in sonic weapons I haven't heard about...
five miles?! Yeah, right. Also, note the total lack of any real details, the lobby, floor plans...I think someone rendered something they saw in sim city and then made up a bunch of stuff about death rays and high-tech control rooms.

"Cyber City" - Of the possible names, this is by far the dorkiest, most embarassing one they could have gone with.
"Our e-tower cyber i-zone funcapade boasts advanced phasers and photon torpedoes!"

Don't get me wrong, I think it looks cool and all (I like the memorial idea), but I don't think this is going to be built.

I like it :). I think it's great when people think big. I hate it when in Helsinki for example, they don't really build tall buildings because "It's would ruin the historical cityscape of Helsinki". They say that even when there's huge demand for more houses and offices. I say: think big and build up!

And what better way to honor the memory of the sept. 11th victims than to build something like this? It would be alot better than some "ordinary" building.

I like it, a lot. I think they should build this monster.

Why rebuild a bunch of smaller buildings. That's just what the terrorists want, to knock us down.

Somehow I don't think they are going to build a nice large 100+ story building again :(

I like the idea of how they want to memorialize 9/11 too. The 2833 tree's each with a plaque of the people who died. That's pretty nice.
