This is one of those words I read and processed silently hundreds, if not thousands, of times before ever hearing it spoken aloud.

I have always processed it as "fak," and it surprised me when someone spelled it out. I always opt for the shortest way of saying something.

How do you say it?

Frequently Asked Questions. Anyone who spells out words is loser (if I was a cutsey ass bastard like half the posters on here I would have typed "L-O-S-E-R" and rapped it out loud to myself), that goes for A-T-O-T as well.

What's the point of the abbreviation if it doesn't save you time?

I'm big on economy of speech. I try to use as few syllables as possible. :)

It's for typing out mostly, as well as lending significance to a heavily used term.

That would be the first option.

F.A.Q.="Eff Ey Queue" unless you pronounce letters differently from most Enlglish speakers. Sorry if I was unclear.

I wanted to make sure to distinguish F.A.Q. from "fak"
