The spikes might be because you're wireless. What version of AIM are you running? 5.2 gets rid of a lot of the problems caused by routers and such. Regarding Diablo I'm not sure, but you might want to open up the corresponding Battle.net ports if you haven't already.

Couple more notes for you guys, my "interenet" light on the router flashes continuously, and as far as aol goes itll go through the entire process but then itll pop up for 2 seconds and be gone, my downloads are pretty much nill they will start at around like 100k maybe and soon drop to basically nothing at all, i really wanna know why its doing this, i tried connecting through a different port instead of first one and still the same problem, please make any suggestion and feel free to make me look stupid

Yeah im having the same problem with one difference,

that being my internet light stays active but the wireless b light does flicker, it just started a few days ago and im beginning to think its the actual router and not and configuration (ive researched and combed every setting in the thing).

I bought the router "open box" from best buy so im betting im going to need a new router,

signal strength is fine everywhere in my house but it drops connection sometimes.

I don't like this router much (although the wired part works fine for me). Did you try resetting the cable modem and router? Unplug them both for a few minutes (and shut down your PC), then plug in the cable modem and wait for it to get set up (usually takes ~30 seconds, or until the lights stop changing), then plug in the router. Then try it with just your PC hooked up to it on wires.

If that still doesn't work you may be having a hardware problem.

Yeah thats what tec support told me too so i went and got a netgear router, now this one works fine with the computer thats wireless but still the hardwire computer lags like crazy during games, and only downloads at minimal rates still and takes forever to load web sites.......is it possible that i got 2 bad routers in a row?
