new wireless router installation problem

i just bought a netgear wireless router at compusa today to replace my existing linksys wired router. I followed the instructions to install the new router but for some reason it can't find an internet connection coming from my RR modem... when i switched it back to my old linksys wired router, it works fine...

can someone assist me with this problem.
