new wireless network. All computers can access each other but 1..what am i missing?

my desktop and laptop are able to access each other shared folders. my roomates desktop can be seen as a workgroup computer but when I try and access it, it says that I am denied access. I checked to make sure that his windows firewall is turned off and he has no other software firewalls installed. What could I be missing?
 
When you say you have the windows firewall off, do you mean that Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) on the Network Interface?
