New WinXP installation with both SATA HD & SATA CD-ROM

I have some questions about SATA setup with a new computer build under Windows XP.

My new machine will have both a SATA HD (WD740GD) and SATA CD/DVD-ROM drive (PLEXTOR|PX-712SA).

I understand that Windows will ask for a the SATA drivers (on floppy) after pressing F6 - BUT because my DVD/CD-ROM drive is also SATA, will Windows even load to ask me for the SATA drivers - in other words if both devices are SATA, will this work - or do I need an IDE CD-ROM as well?

Thanks in advance!

loading the drivers for the hd will take care of it. Your actually loadind the drivers for the "controller" and not the hard drive per se. The driver will work for anything connected to that controller.
