Well I recently resized my boot partition and it got corrupted etc etc so I reformatted. First I wrote 0s to the drive using Maxtors maxblast software on the UBCD. Then I made a 45GB boot partition on my 120GB drive and put XP on it. Now everything is working fine except I have this wierd situation. When you are doing any thing in windows, it does this refresh kind of thing. Like every time you move something (a window, or you scroll, or you risize something etc) it does it realllly slow, with this refresh effect. It will start from the bottom of where you are moving the object and move to the top, in about 5 seconds the process is done and everything is fine, extecpt when you move, scroll, etc again, then you have to wait for it to do this effect. I know it isn't something that is supposed to be their and I have a high end rig so it isn't the hardware. It did this the very first time I booted up the new XP. Since then all I have done is install all the the windows, video, mobo, and audio updates. I have also replaced my mouse batterys. Any ideas?
EDIT: When I first installed the nVidia Driver UPDATES I did it on a different user account, I installed them on this one and everything is working!
