So I'm getting a new PC soon and I wanted to get Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit version along with it.

I'm considering getting the flash drive version. What are the advantages or disadvantages of getting an OS on a flash drive I need to consider?

And do I need to adjust certain settings in the bios to install an OS from a flash drive?

Installation from flash drive is much faster other than that it's pretty much the same, maybe the flash drive is more prone to be missplaced but you can always legally download it again.

For a modern system there will be nothing to consider bios wise,it will start up and install no problem.

In case I lost the data on the flash drive somehow, how exactly do I download it again?

If you have a uefi bios then you need to ensure that you install from the uefi listing of the thumb drive or you will get a legacy install.

Legacy = MBR installation of windows which is slower than a UEFI=GPT installation.
Hmm? Slower in what way?
I have had both on this system, and boot times are practically the same.

The only actual difference is GPT supports 128 partitions & much bigger drives.
MBR is mainly used these days for legacy OSes that don't know what GPT is.
