new win2k v5 drivers!

Well they are out i saw on the 3dfx page. Hopefully it'll stop counterstrike from lock ing up. Anyone try them yet, i'm gonna try them when i get back to school on my comp. I'm getting a gf2 in a couple days so this could make it a harder decision. Doh.


 
well to satisfy my own curiosity i ran a benchmark on these new drivers. I would have run them in half life but i dont have a demo for that. Anyways i ran it on q3a 1.16n. Using 800x600 normal with the old beta win2k v5 drivers version 1.01 i think its 25.3 fps and with the new whql 1.03 ones it was also 25.3 fps. That was with 4xfsaa on also. The numbers might be a little low, since i dont have a sound card and use VIA AC'97 codec for my sound. The rest of the system is in my sig. Maybe this will fix that alt tabbing problem in counterstrike. Looks like if my v7700 coming in a couple days has good 2d then the v5 will be living it up on e-bay.
