New wheels for my z06

I had been looking ay buying a new set of wheels for sometime now... I was struggling with sizes... stay stock? go with 19/20 combo?

Then this came along...

HRE540R's w/ gloss black centers. Stock sizes, so 18/19 combo with ~6000miles on them. Tires have about 1000miles on them (Nitto Invos)... all that for 3000 shipped

I just bought them last night, so I hope to get them by early next week. I did do a 10second photoshop job (scale is not correct), to see what they would look like:

I like the stock wheels better personally but I'm not a big wheels guy. I'm sure they'll look great on that car though.
 
I like the stock wheels more. The crazy multi-spokes don't look right on a Corvette. 5 spoke wheels are the best for it.

i guess it's a good thing I like them 😛

i personally just hate chrome. I could have gone either way, mesh or 5 spoke, but i found a deal on the mesh ones first

They're not bad, I don't like the outer silver lip though. If it was me, I would have gone for the new Z06 spiders.
 
I love the stock wheels on the Corvette. The new ones are meh.

Not a big fan of aftermarket wheels anyway. My Honda Fit came with steelies and for a few months I had aftermarket wheels but I switched to original equipment alloys and I like them a lot more. Plus they're cheaper.
 
i like the stock, but love the black and blue combo. i wanted to do this to my TA before i sold it for the jeep.
 
I'm with the "like stock better"...although I agree with you that Chrome kinda sucks. That being said, your Z06 is the sex. Love that car.

I guess I'm more of a stealth guy. I feel like the lip takes away from the size of the rim, makes it looks smaller.

I went with OEM comp-grays on my 08.
 
I don't get this fad with rivets around the rim. Really just doesn't go with the flowing lines of a beautiful rim, or beautiful car.
