Saw it at Best Buy the other day, looked absolutely beautiful, the picture on it was very nice and the bezel was one of the best I've seen. I can't find any info on it, but it looks interesting. I kind of wish I had put off buying the Gateway 24", but I had no idea this Westy was coming out.

From the new minutes of messing with the display model, I like what I see. And it's appearance is just sweeeet, the clear part of the bezel at at the bottom really makes it stand out.

I work at best buy, and I set one of these up last week. I was very dissapointed in this monitor. For one I couldn't even get the screen to center correctly on 1920x1200, plus video playback was average at best. I would save up $50 more and get the new LG L246WP or the 24" Gateway.

Right QueBert, no reason for buyer remorse with this one.

It is a TN panel as shown by the "170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles" claim on the Best Buy web site.

Sleep Well... :moon:

not to concerned about the panel, every LCD I've seen has been pretty m3h to me in terms of how the image looks. I have the Gateway 24" my GF has the Westy 22" me neighbor has the Dell, I notice differences, but they are small. And viewing angles don't matter since I'm always right in front on my screen.

I'm not super happy with my Gateway, but I have to get over my CRT passion and face the facts :(

OLED displays will eventually make you happy, but you will have to make do with your 24-inch widescreen monitor in the meantime :disgust:

Wanna trade for my good-as-new Viewsonic PF775?

sorry gonna return it and order a 21" Viewsonic CRT off Newegg, I ain't holding my breath for OLED monitors to hit anytime soon. And I'm done with LCDs all together.

and to Matt2, it's not that I hate this Gateway, it rocks hard for text, but for graphics and gaming I'm just too used to having a good CRT, for the over $700 I paid I don't feel I should have to settle. I'm glad you love yours it is a very nice overall screen :)
