Make sure you can build a fighter to protect it before you establish a trade lane. Otherwise, it will be pillaged and destroyed and you will have wasted those credits to establish it, plus you won't be able to trade again for 24 hours.

Keep it on the planet that you have connected to the trade route. That should be sufficient.

Ack didnt know that, I figured I could since my trade route got attacked the other day :-

So far one thing that I seem to notice, if you run out of funds when building it just seems to cancel your queue 🙁
