New Water Cooling Setup

Everything has finally shipped. I have everything except the CPU block. When everything does get here and I install it, I'll be sure to post some pics. But for the mean time, I want to know what you think and did I make the right choices?
I've been into computers and stuff for a while and this is my first venture into watercooling. It was an expensive one, but hopefully I should be able to carry this into other computers if need be (and since my current is top of the line, I don't see that happening any time soon.

Water Cooling Setup:
Swiftech Storm (rev. 2) <-Only the best... 😀

2x (for SLI) Silverprop Cyclone FusionHL GPU Waterblock <-Cause it's better than the Maze 4? Or so I've heard

BIP3 <-Standard Rad. Nothing Special.

Swiftech MCP655

1/2in. Tygon Tubing

Res.

That about covers it for the core components. I'd also have some OCZ Copper Ram sinks for the video cards so I'll just reuse those with some of this (<-Arctic Alumina Adhesive)

So will everything work together? Will the pump and rad be enough?
Thanks

That pump (though strong) will have a difficult time with everything in that loop. Not sure how restrictive the GPU blocks are.

An MCR220 might have been a better choice for the radiator. But with SLi, I can see the need for a triple rad.

As a note the copper ramsinks have a tendency to fall off. They don't stick well 🙁 Looks good. Let us know how it goes. 😀

The GPU blocks are basically just like the Maze 4 blocks so I don't think it's that restrictive. And for the Copper Ramsinks, I already have some Artict Alumina Adhesive (non-conductive) stuff to "glue" those things on.

I care, dude. 😉 Well done. I think you'll be fine. What order are you going to put your components in?

Probably pump>rad>cpu>gpu>gpu>res>pump.

The order really doesn't matter all that much though right? Just make sure it's the shortest lenghth.

Nah, order doesn't matter all that much. That's the same order I use, though. 🙂 If you have a good pump, length doesn't matter all that much either.

have you thought of getting a thermochill pa 120.2 or 120.3?

these things ROCK but are a little more expensive.

just a thought. other than that... everything else looks AWESOME! 🙂

Another quicky, do I need Hydrx? And if I use it will it clog the Storm?

I've been on Hydrx for 5-months and my Storm looks new on the inside. Is your loop installed yet?

Order does matter a bit... example being... you don't want a storm at the end of your loop.

That looks fine, either do that or have it hit the radiator last. [Though what you have currently is probably ideal provided the flow rate doesn't drop too much.

Not a huge fan of reservoirs, but you should be fine. Good luck 😀

So your saying I should go pump>storm (cpu)>gpu>gpu>rad>res>pump?

Then I guess I'll go with that. Changing stuff like that really isn't a problem for the way I can loop it in my case.

I thought you'd made up your mind. If 1-2c matters to you, the res should be before your first block.

Loking good..
Pump is fine although persnaly I would have chosen LaingDS it is much the same thing though.
As for the CPU bkllock I highly reccomend THIS.
Rad is questionable. but will do the job.

Do you mean the D5? There's no real difference between a 655 and a Laing D5 beyond branding. The OP already HAS a Storm rev. 2, which will do him just fine. The BIP 3 is "questionable?" How so? It runs great with low CFM fans, and does even better with high CFM fans. It's easier to clean than thick-core rads and is a lot quieter.

Where do you guys get this stuff?

I've got a TC PA 120.2, it's pretty good. Had a little trouble with the gasket supplied, it didn't stretch as expected, infact, it outright tore, when gently stretching it to line the holes up.. Confused and annoyed me, but I just dug up some shorter, without the gasket the supplied screws WILL puncture the tubes of the rad., self tappers and used those beasts.

With the two vantecs on it, it keeps my CP about 22 degrees C, granted, only thing on the loop untill I get some drive cooling.

Back to the topic;

Looks like a nice setup, looking forward to some pictures.

Quick question, though, you going to use rightangle's/t-pieces or are you going for the ol' long bends?

No, I will not be using 90 degree angle bends. I can bend the tubing enough and have enough room in my case to do it.

Should look good, then.
