New Warren Miller Film - Journey

Who has seen it?

Personally, I didnt think it matched up to other Warren Miller films. They didnt have enough commentary about the skiiers life or about the different cultures they visited. They did have some sick footage though. That segment on Points North Alaska was insane. The heavenly stuff was nice. That segment on the skiing in Morroco was lame, just cause the skiing was really bad. They could have done something better.

How about that guy who jumped out of the helicoptor? For those who havent seen it, let me try to explain. He jumps out of this helicopter about 1000 feet off the peak of this summit. He falls straight down, doesnt spread his arms or slow down or nothing. Soon, he spreads his arms and legs and becomes like a glider. He flies 35feet off the top of this summit/ridge line. Did I mention he was going 150mph+ at the time? Once he reaches the end, he deploys the shoot and lands. That was the most insane thing I have seen in a long time. Still cant believe someone did that.

man, I was itching for the snow when the movie finished. And the crowd is so awesome at the movies. We are all cheering the skiers on, and hooting, and holaring and having a good time. I love it.

Man, getting paid to ski? That would be awesome. Getting paid to go someplace where there is awesome snow and ski it. Where do I sign up?

You lucky son of a bitch! Although, I do have seven days in Utah planned (got some family who live up there, hooked it up with real cheep lift tickets) so I cant complain!
