If it's a problem with my system then how come I can get vista to install and work perfectly. Without changing any hardware and a clean install vista right off the bat has a slow aero response but once aero is off it's gone? Considering that the drivers for both OS are the same ones not sure where the system comes into effect. If you know where exactly it lies then please enlighten me. I am open to suggestions and have been doing them so far. So instead of making a one comment post and telling me its the system being more specific would be helpful thanks.

I noticed the same thing because I went back to Windows Vista just to see if there would be any difference and sure enough it no aero lag. It doesn't make sense to me. I really want to use Windows 7 fully but everyday I wonder if I should go back to Windows Vista so I don't have to deal with this stupid Aero Lag. Have no idea if it will ever be fixed for me.

Try to run the Win 7 FreeCell, it is a Good indicator to the Agility of the Video with Aero if something is wrong with teh Video the cards do not flip well.

The example that you gave above could be a deliberate result of the fade/scroll/ whatever setting of open/minimize/close of individual windows.

Some people like it this way.

So I tested the suggestion Jack. I even installed dreamscene and that worked fine. The cards worked fine for as much as I can tell even though I can still see the lag or stutter from the menus and opening and closing of the windows. Is that something that can be adjusted?

I have no idea if this works for Aero, but you can go to System -> Advanced System Settings -> Performance -> Visual Effects, and start turning things off to see if it improves your situation at all.

I disabled the "animate windows when minimizing and maximizing" The noticeable effect that I saw before in the lag is gone now.

Thank you all for your help. Is there something that would make that option act differently in win7 vs. vista?

checked the airflow in your system...
ensure that all fans are clean and working...
if you have a 3rd party heatsink/fan, make sure it has not come loose...
