New VLC Build?

Hi.

In my compulsive delving for new freewares, I just came upon what seems to be a new build for VLC and got it. And, when i installed it, it did seem the build I was running was overridden by this new build.

Personally, I never download freeware from any source but the original. No point in taking the chance, nowadays.

That said, thanks for the heads up. I was still on 2.0.8, so figured I might as well update. I rarely use VLC so the updates are not always necessary for me.

I don't either. But I know the site in question and have never had an issue with it. It's proven safe. Not unlike Major Geeks.

Yeah, I'd prefer downloading from the original site too
