I still have a brand new X-Fi boxed up (was a xmas gift). I HATE Creative. They did the same BS when XP was released... it took months after the official release of XP before they had drivers for Live! cards.

What are you talking about? This is the second official release (excluding the beta one) that has been released since Vista hit market.

I would imagine that a win2k driver would work under XP, was the support that bad?

Would love if the links worked, seems Creative's servers nuked themselves to make up for them actually making some progress.

Anyone mind hooking me up with a mirror? I goog'd and couldn't find anything. 🙂

I just wish Creative published a change log with the drivers so I had an idea of what's changed.

Dont install these if you use a microphone plugged into your sound card.

You will hear the mic through your speakers consistently, but no applications will properly hear it. Instead it will sample wrong and sound like you are talking in a helicopter.

Creative not only doesnt release good drivers consistently, they manage to break something new with each fix. Sure makes me glad I bought a sound card with a front breakout panel that they cant even make work consistently...
