New vista drivers for X-fi

I wonder if it adds any of the features back in on the platinum. I just want my remote to work.
From what i have been able to find, most of the features of the card will never be supported in vista.

Not only does the new driver work well, I did some digging over at the Creative forums and in a particular thread came across an "iso" that contains the Vista compatible software apps for X-Fi. Apparently Creative is going to release this officially sometime. You can download here:

The user JaLooNz has graciously mirrored this "iso" (thank you JaLooNz!).

I was using the YouP-PAX suite for Vista but happy to report I no longer need it, the newly burned CD works just like how the original worked in XP. Everything that I use is working perfectly!

1. Uninstalled YouP-PAX and all Creative.
2. Installed the latest driver.
3. Installed newly created CD with apps (unchecked audio driver install...custom install)

There is a bit of an issue under 64bit Vista when using 4GB ram.

You get an enormous amount of constant static.

The fix is to disable and then re enable the soundcard in the device listings.

This issue starts getting into my nerve.
It has been the 5th or 6th time I've had to remove and re-install the driver to rid of the pop-hiss static noise.
Creative Labs, get down to your knee and fix these damn annoying issues, NOW.
Otherwise I may have to switch back to integrated sound.🙁
Arh....

Minor correction, 4gig or more. I have 32gig on this box and have ran into this a few times. My UPS was undersized for the rig (new one on order) and it tripped off twice, a unexpcted reset seemed to throw the card into this mode for some reason (annoying as heck). Anxiously awaiting the next driver drop...

I'm having no such problems with the current drivers on my C2Q rig with 4GB.
