I just got an e-mail from "Microsoft" with an attached "patch." Don't install it. 🙂

I get regular emails from @Newsletters.Microsoft.com with all the security, MSDN, and Platform lists I'm subscribed too. I also receive emails from my company's MS Reps who all send emails originating from @Microsoft.com. Whatever virus it is, is going to confuse a lot of people into clicking on that attachment if it makes its rounds.

It's from security@microsoft.com and the text in the e-mail is:

Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!
More than 500.000 already infected!

If someone wants the virus e-mail I can forward it to you as it's sitting in my inbox.

Why the hell don't virus authors find a native English speaker to proof read their messages?
