New Video Card Troubles (Motherboard Issue?)

so im installing a new video card (fx5200) into an older system (nf2)

and i got the drivers installed but am now having a weird problem.

sometimes i can't even get a post beep, so i have to remove the cmos battery, and then everything works ok.

so i go into the bios, fix the time, etc.. and restart, and boom, nothing (no post again), until i remove and replace the cmos battery.

what could be causing this issue? any thoughts? i've never run into this type of problem before.

How about replacing the CMOS battery with a fresh one? Tying that to the video card may just be a coincidence.

thanks,

i did replace the battery and all seems to be ok, except when i get into windows, the pc just reboots and the hard drive makes a high pitched screeching noise on occasion.

thanks again
