New Video Card Price/Performance Ladder

I have put together a new updated (10-4-06) price/performance video card ladder. I just added the 7900gto. I hope it is in the right place. Let me know if it is not and I will change it.

This is just a general ladder but you get the idea. I am sure some cards could change places depending on how you test them. I used Anandtech's BF2 data to get an idea of cost per frame. That is my sense of value

1) These are Newegg Prices AFTER REBATE
2) These are the cheapest cards in each category
3) BF2 frame rate data is from Anandtech

It still looks like the x1900xt is the best deal out there!

Dang! I forgot where it fell in the last one, but my X1900GT comes out the best bang for the buck - cost for frame wise!

That's a nice chart for just getting a quick look.

But why do you have the 1900XTX > 1900XT in price. I just bought my X1900XT 2 weeks ago from Newegg for $297 (no rebates). Have they all gone OOS or something?

This would be useful if we only wanted to play BF2 (F*** EA).

Use a newer game like FEAR or GRAW or something.

I just pulled the prices from Newegg. You will have to ask them why

This is just a general list. There is no way I am going to do all posibilites. I would go nuts I also think if you did an analysis with another game you are basically going to get the same order (might be a change or two) and prices will adjust from there.

This list basically lets somebody have an overview of where the cards stand. From there they can dive deeper into it.

I would like to see Anandtech or somebody really do this list and include all cards, prices, and performance using a standard benchmark system.

Oh! and have it update in real time
