hey all, check my sig (my monster) and tell me hwat you think

P3 800

Geforce 2 mx

13.6 gig HD 5400

i know most will say HD casue of space.. but.. will 7200 increase performance alot?

and i don't have enough money for both.. i wanna get a pro.. but i could hold out on that until i get enough.. by that time i may be able to get an 3 also...

thanks for your input

overclock your cpu and overclock your graphics card for some temporary performance gains in those areas and get the hard drive. Upgrade the cpu and vid card later mainly because of a few new things coming out soon such as the Tualatin, Radeon 2, and a few others... Once your cpu and vid card get over a certain level hard drives will become the bottleneck so a better performing hard drive is always welcomed and is 13 gigs really enough for you? I have a 20 gb hd and it's definitely not enough space so I am going to buy a maxtor 40 gb diamondmax plus.

i wish, i could overclock my CPU.. NOPE 800 EB (that sucks0

i already overclocked video card good gains :)

13.6 NOT EVEN close.. i would probably be better off getting a 40..

radeon 2 hope it comes soon and drops the price of other cards... thanks for your reply

I'd say go for HD too.
as of now, your video card can hold up just fine. it can wait a little longer.

yellow skin!

are u looking for capacity or speed?...if capacity, get a new hdd...if speed, don't - as u probably won't be thoroughly impressed w/ the gains a 7200rpm gives over a 5400rpm (w/ roughly the same platter densities)..

otherwise, 40gb hdds seem to be the best/bang/buck right now.

plus, i wouldn't get a new video card until it's awful playing games at a decent resolution, which i doubt it is right now w/ an oced MX

hey grinch ;)

i am looking for the capacity/speed combo..

i know the gains won't be great..but if getting a new HDD.. mine as well go 7200.. 30-40 is the range i am looking at..

and video card should last till christmas..or when doom 3 comes.. and the mx is a slide show! :)

IBM vs.MAxTor?

75GXP has been having tons of probs.. what about the 60gxp vs the diamond max 60?!? ATA 100 doesn't mean anything eithe becasue i dont have a ATA100 mobo and i would need to get the 60gig to get the controller card..

edit.. the reason i am wanting to get rid of the mx at a half decent time is so i can make about 50 $$$ of it..
