New video card for old computer

I was primarily shooting for UT3 (tried demo), and GoW which both runs ok on lower settings and lower resoluton . But it is not as satisfying. System that I'm on is 2.93 Ghz P4; X800xl Pci-e vid; 1.5gb of RAM. Do you think if I get some used video card for under 100 dollars that is better than my current one, would performance increase any bit for those games?

x1950 series would be your best bet for around $100. Anything higher and with DX10 would be a waste. Will still probably be limited by your CPU, but should run those games alright.

yeah i wasn't thinking about dx10 at all. Yeah I'm probably going to get that x1950 or something similar for cheap

I suggest a 7900gs/gt for your system. They should be 100$ or so.
Less power usage and runs cooler.
