I need a new fan and heatsink for my Geforce2 card. I was looking at the Thermaltake VGA Chipset Cooler, 50 x 50 x 15 mm, Model "Crystal Orb (A1178)" but it has a 3 pin lead and my card has a 2 pin CONNECTOR for the fan.

Is ther some way to use a 3 wire fan on a 2 pin card? If not can anyone suggest a resonable fan/heatsink for a GEFORCE2 CARD.

Thanks

Thanks MustISO, I have a vacant fan connector on my CUSL2 motherboard
"PWR", my Power Supply doesn't have a fan connection so I can use the "PWR"
terminal.

Thanks again

If you aren't replacing a broken/damaged heatsink, I really think you'd be better off putting the $$$ toward a new card :)

I highy agree...a GeForce2 won't run too much today, you may as well start saving up for another card, unless you are planning on keeping this for a long while to come because you don't play games often or you are trying to make an OC record on it. (Yes! I hit 250/250! lol).

Heck, you can cool the GeForce 2 passively what with the massive heatsinks available today.

On my old rig (which serves duty as an FTP server and occasional old-game machine), I have a Creative Labs Geforce 2 GTS vid card. I put half of the Coolermaster Viva heatsink on it with no fan, and it works fine. (the Coolermaster Viva is a two-heatsink sandwich, and I only used the front half.)

Thanks for all your help.

The machine I'm building is for my wife, she does a little word processing and surfs
the web. The card I have in there now is an older ATI Rage card with half the memory of the Geforce2, I thought the Geforce2 would speed up her surfing a little.

Thanks again
