This really really sucks. I get a new GeForce3 Ti200 (Visiontek Xtasy6564), tell my Voodoo3 2000 to pack its bags and excitedly plop the shiny wonder with blue heatsinks into the AGP slot. Boot up. Drool at graphics. Yell at sound card. Yes, friends, my SB Live has decided not to produce any more sound. Sure, the waveforms jump around as usual in Winamp and Sonique, and no conflicts whatsoever, although I?m not sure of the AGP settings (64MB AGP aperture, Fast Write off). Slot switch-o-rama commences. No go. Double-quadruple-triple check system settings for conflicts. Nada. Uninstall and reinstall drivers (the video card first). Guess what? NO! F-ING NO SOUND! I don?t think I can survive much longer. Send help fast. Urge to kill RISING!?
Oh, and I guess you want some specs, too, eh?
Windows 98SE
Athlon T-bird 800
Asus A7V (BIOS flash 1008, I think)
SB Live (MP3+?not like that matters)
GeForce3 Ti200 (Visiontek Xtasy6564; Drivers: 21.83)
(Hard drives don?t matter much, do they?)

Let this be a lesson to all of you out there: the elation that occurs during hardware upgrades muddles thinking and makes those symbols on the back of the card not look right. Yes, I had my plugs in wrong on my sound card since I moved the slots. <Kicks himself and accepts mockery>. Thank you. And remeber to brush your teeth!
